Biomass

Biomass Boilers can use wood pellet, wood chip or logs as a source to provide central heating within your home. This is classed as a renewable source as this wood can be simply a waste product from other manufacturing processes, or manufactured within a sustainable Forest. Either way, this fuel source will never run out.

Biomass is probably the most traditional form of home heating; biomass boilers burn wood pellets, chippings or logs to power your central heating and to heat your hot water. Although on the face of it, burning wood may seem to be at conflict with clean, green energy sources - the fact that CO2 produced by burning wood is absorbed by growing trees means that as long as the trees used to produce the fuel come from a sustainable Forest, wood fueled systems are classed as carbon neutral.
